OUR CREW

Gino Caporale has spent most of his life in headphones or behind a mixing board. He began his career at the age of 15 after stumbling upon his uncle's turntables. Honing his skills in local nightclubs while working alongside other influential DJs, he moved on to larger and higher profile venues. As demand for his talent grew, Gino moved into radio with a nationally syndicated show on Q102 in Philadelphia, featuring his dance mixes. He worked as a Billboard's dance music reporter in the late '80s and early '90s, while at the same time becoming one of the top 50 DJ's in the US to make Billboard's dance music chart.

His passion for music naturally progressed into producing, remixing and editing. Once in the studio, Gino produced several hit records on the Billboard charts and created several top-selling remixes for a variety of music talent such as Depeche Mode, De La Soul and 69 Boys, whose remix was used on the soundtrack for the film Bad Boys II.

In 2013, Gino launched 418 Music, an independent music label specializing in innovative house music. With distribution via INgrooves, and collaborations with some of the hottest producers, remixers and artists, 418 Music is having an impact, with recent tracks reaching the top ten of several charts on Beatport. And Gino's presence continues around the world, with his weekly Club 418 mix shows on influential outlets, such as Radio Danz. He has been a featured guest DJ spinning in the hottest clubs on the east coast and at WMC in Miami. Gino's instinctive ability to bring the sound, whether in a club, over the Internet, or via his label, extends his influence to the dance music community and beyond.
